SoCal turned on some of it’s finest heat and wind in the past coupla days.  I have been doing some decent training with Neil Shirley over the last few weeks and it has been very warm indeed.  We did a loop out East of San Diego, which was great… until the hot, hot wind was on the nose for 2 solid hours all the way home.  My Polar said it was an average of 35 degrees c, and a max of 45! Needless to say we drank gallons of water and decided today should be a little easier on the legs! On the racing side of things I have had some OK results, a 10th at San Pedro and 9th at Manhattan Beach GP.  Hopefully the training will pay off, and I can go a little better at Boise Crit this weekend, then it’s back to a Wintry Australia for the Tour of Gippsland!

I am staying at a place with a lovely view, pity I have to ride up that hill at the end of every ride! The view is nice from the top...when you get there!
