So which Brooks did you try before bad mouthing them? Was it a Professional model(thickest leather) or something else? How many miles did you put on that saddle before you decided it was too hard? If it was less than 500 then you didn't even break it in. I have a Brooks saddle on nearly every bike I ride regularly. Total of road bikes I own averages around 20-25, with 7-8 of them having Brooks saddles installed. I made the horrible mistake of Using a modern Body Geometry saddle for a 177 mile ride. I was numb for a month, and the saddle lived long enough to slashed to ribbons the day after I finished the ride. The weekend before I put 62 miles on a barely broken in B.17. Aside from sore thigh upper thigh muscles from it being too wide, I was fine. Bottom line, Brooks saddles are the best saddle in the world. Sure they don't work for everybody, but dissing them for the sake of a new school saddle review doesn't sound very intelligent. I guess Brooks has been around 143 years because they're uncomfortable. That's funny....

Thank you very much for that very detailed test. I think i found my next saddle. It is going to be a Gamma Aliante XM 2008. I have a road bike but because i had a back surgery i need extra comfort, that is why i chose that model. I just send an email to Fizik that confirms that saddle can be used on road bike and has no weight restrictions BUT the life duration will be less than a complete carbon shaped saddle.

I recently purchased a Fizik Randine saddle, and it is very comfy, if a bit heavy. But some am I. I've never heard any complaints about their products. There stuff looks PRO, too.
