State of Missouri officials including Governor Matt Blunt, race organizers, and three-time national-champion Fred Rodriguez will make the official Announcement of the Tour of Missouri professional cycling race Tuesday.

The Tour of Missouri is patterned after the famous Tour de France of point-to-point, or stage racing. In its first year, the Tour will join the elite ranks of the Tour of California and Tour de Georgia, both top international, domestic cycling events.
