The Recumbulator

Tuesday, April 25th, 2006

By calling this particular recumbulator cool is by no means a slap in the face to the recumbulator population. This “sit down” rider that we talked with is “The Recumbulator”.

The Recumbulator had followed the entire Tour of Georgia by the time we caught up with him. “How did you do it”? We asked. “Honey Buns”, he said like we should have known.
Honey buns can turn into sticky buns real quick, and how in the hell does Recumbulator unwrap the cellophane on the fly at the forty miles an hour he speaks of? He has to make a mess, not only on his face but on the road. One can only imagine the sticky film of the honey bun dried out on the face of the Recumbulator like some kind of mask.

Don’t get me wrong, the Recumbulator is cool and has his sights set high. He would like to take his bike over to the Himalayans and track down the Dali Lama. “I’d like to get Lama to show me how to play cricket and then feed him honey buns….cause you he don’t know bout um”…..
Because the Recumbulator had such an analytical view of the bike race from his lower to the ground bike, he did have some suggestions. He thinks that Dave Z of CSC should be playing for the L.A. Lakers. “I bet he’d look real good making a lay-up”.
The Recumbulator has now been saddled with a real Missing Saddle T shirt. Watch out for him because he does eat on the fly.
