Redlands Classic Race Report – Stage 1 TT

This bitch kitty of a 5k course was more tricky than it looks on paper. Never really flat, the course has some gentle grades (up and down) for the first 3 k or so, with a nice little power climb in the center. Then passing over I-10, you get the pleasure of thoroughly filling your lungs with a wonderful diesel death cloud just before ascending onto 3 steepish stairs the final 2k. The modest crowds and cowbells along the grades were welcomed inspiration to plow on to the finish. (more…)
